The best possible image acceleration
functionality for OEMs and corporate customers
with image intensive environments. Our
users include Bytemobile, Venturi Wireless,
Propel and Edexcel.
The AirZip Acceleration Engine is the core of AirZip
Accelerator product, ands performs an important function
in AirZip FileSECURE by compressing in addition the
encrypted files.
AirZip products, providing unrivaled image
acceleration and management performance. The
Acceleration Engine can be integrated with a wide range
of applications, to power the image acceleration portion
of the functionality. OEMs benefit by outsourcing
development to the proven image acceleration and
delivery experts at AirZip.
Key Benefits
- 50-400% faster image download times
- 50-200% faster image rendering speed on the
receiving device
- 50-80% reduction in image storage requirements
- 200% plus longer mobile device battery life
- Leverages standard web infrastructure
Use AirZip Acceleration with a Wide Range of
Applications
- Scanned document storage, distribution and
viewing
- Mapping, telematics, and location-services
solutions
- Web acceleration solutions, most especially for
dial-up users
- Multi-media messaging platforms
- Mobile enterprise gateway and application
platforms
- Other wireless application platforms
- Other performance enhancement products for web
applications
How it Works
The Acceleration Engine can be used with or without
AirZip client software. Without AirZip software on the
client device, the Acceleration Engine uses intelligent
optimization heuristics to provide 50-100% better
acceleration of JPEG, GIF, PNG, TIFF, and BMP image
files with minimal quality loss.
With AirZip software available on the client device,
the Acceleration Engine will use AirZip's proprietary
patented image format, AZV, for up to 400% faster image
delivery. The AZV format also renders images faster on
the receiving device than other image standards.
The AirZip Engine is a "thread-safe" C++ library that
simplifies the integration of AirZip's breakthrough,
patented image acceleration technology into any
application server.
For embedded applications, the AirZip Compression
Engine SDK provides encode/decode libraries for AirZip's
compressed image format for a wide range of
applications.
